I have served this city as a member of the City Council for sixteen years, and I believe I have the vision, leadership, and experience it takes to move our community forward.
It is imperative that we elect strong, level-headed members to ensure that this Council can work collaboratively for Greensboro's future. And it must start with the Mayor.
All communities have opportunities and challenges, and Greensboro is no different. Greensboro is positioned to realize a strong and vibrant future, and I will be a positive part of helping our city realize that potential. Ultimately, our success depends on all of us working together with a common focus. We have enough competition from outside the Piedmont Triad without creating division within our own city.
As Mayor, I will work to build a shared vision for Greensboro. My priorities are:
My track record speaks for itself. While on the City Council, I have worked to improve our city's core services and infrastructure, putting Greensboro in a position to compete with any city in the South. In addition, I have supported decisions that have resulted in many positive programs for Greensboro, such as new scenic corridors, reinvestment in our downtown, parkland purchases, finding alternative water sources, and the promotion of regional cooperation through the Heart of the Triad initiative. Most importantly, I have consistently supported ideas that would create and retain jobs in our city.
